The National Black Nurses Association, Inc. (NBNA) is a professional non-profit nursing organization established in 1971. We are comprised of 110 chapters in 32 states with over 4,200 members, serving as the professional voice for over 308,000 African American nurses and diverse populations.
We take pride in advocating for equal access to professional development, educational promotion, and health improvement. On matters pertaining to people of color in healthcare, we are a respected international voice. Our goals for 2024 is “Recruiting, Retaining, and Engaging Members” and aims to strengthen the organization by bringing forth new members and showcasing our unwavering gratitude of our current members.
